Marie North, DVM
Dr. North was born and raised on a farm just outside of Elie, Manitoba, a perfect environment to foster her love of living creatures. She received her BSc in Brandon and graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon in 2006. Her veterinary career began with mixed animal practise in Beausejour where she developed a keenness towards small animal medicine and surgery. Wishing to focus her abilities and efforts, she dedicated her continuing education towards small animals allowing her to nurture her dedication to companion animals. Her lifelong dream and endeavours were rooted January 5th, 2015 when she opened the doors to her own small animal clinic in Carberry. Dr. North’s experiences have landed her in South Africa with Global Vets, and in Uganda for a wildlife externship. She has also done an externship in Pennsylvania at the NICU for foals.
Dr. North currently resides outside Austin, MB, and is happily married with 4 children, 2 dogs, 3 cats and 2 potbelly pigs! Recreationally she likes to partake in a number of sports including baseball and skating, enjoys camping with her family, and going out for the occasional combine ride with her husband.
Heather Creasy, Vet Tech Assistant
Heather grew up on a farm near Wawanesa, Manitoba. An avid animal lover from a very young age, Heather pursued a career in nursing following high school, but always dreamed of one day working with animals. That dream came true as Heather naturally transitioned from caring for humans to caring for furry family members at our clinic in 2018. Heather lives in Carberry with her husband 2 kids and 2 dogs Dio and Billy. Her interests include gardening, travelling and
spending time with her family and pets.
Iris Sprayberry, Registered Veterinary Technician
Iris grew up in the Carberry area and even graduated from Carberry Collegiate. Her career started as a Nursing Assistant in the US where she shifted gears in 2011 to become a Certified Veterinary Technician. She Graduated from Pima 2011 Medical Institute and hasn’t looked back
since. After moving around the states for 30 years, Iris returned home and joined our clinic in 2020. She now resides in the area with her husband, two dogs, Timmy and Keeva, and her 4 Cats Genie, Desi, Spook and Pippa.
Iris enjoys hiking and movie nights with her husband, two children and her grandbaby.
Cathy Crerar, Client Care Receptionist
Cathy joined our team in 2020, she spent year at the local daycare center in town and transitioned from caring for local children to caring for local animals. She was born and raised in Manitoba and grew up on a hobby farm in the interlake region of the province. From the hobby farm she grew up on, to the hobby farm her and her husband raised their children on, animals have been around every stage of her life!
Cathy has one dog, named Angel and two cats named Elmo and Buddy. When Cathy is not hard at work she enjoys camping, hiking, watching football and just spending time with her two children and husband.
Ashley Bedard, Office Assistant
Ashley and her husband relocated to Carberry from Edmonton, AB. She combined her love of animals, with her passion for leadership and business to join our team in 2020.
Ashley and her husband have 4 cats, Obie, Pebbles, Ziggy and Charlie as well as one handsome puppy named Marshal. She loves gardening, cleaning and watching sitcoms with her fur family and husband in her free time.
